Every year, in March, the Hall is host to the Liang Hui (two meetings) event, where both the national People’s Congress (NPS) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (SCPCC) meet in sessions lasting for two to three weeks at the Great Auditorium.<br /><br />The Communist Party of China (CPC) also holds every five years its National Congress in the Great Hall of the People.<br /><br />In recent years, some non-political conventions and concerts were also held here.<br /><br />The enormous hall is open to the public when the national conference is not in session.<br /><br /></div><div align="center"></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/5355709364479639389-3439415026354803950?l=greathallofthepeople.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>chinaunlimited weblognoreply@blogger.com0
